PICS is committed to improving the effectiveness of and utilization of crisis-bases support services by offering training and technical assistance (T/TA) activities based upon the most current and reputable research on crisis-based programs coupled with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administrations (SAMHSA’s) toolkit and guides, specifically: SAMHSA’s Crisis Services: Meeting Needs, Saving Lives and National Guidelines for Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practice Toolkit.
Individuals can select from the suite of products below and be introduced to essential crisis care principles and practices on topics such as: addressing recovery needs, significant role for peers, trauma-informed care, suicide safer care, safety/security for staff and consumers, crisis response partnerships with law enforcement, and the use of technology in crisis care.
