Peer Recovery Support Specialist, PRSS

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure and coordinate the consistency of client treatment alongside addiction counselors and staff.

Essential functions:

1. Under the supervision of a licensed staff, the PRSS will function as a role model to peers, exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate providing consumer information and peer support for clients in inpatient and outpatient settings.

2. Keep PRSS certificate active and in good standing.

Peer Recovery Support Specialist


Bristlecone | Reno, Nevada

The Peer Support Specialist is an active member of Bristlecone Family Resources and provides peer support services to clients with drug, alcohol and gambling addictions. Under the supervision of licensed staff, the PSS will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate providing consumer information and peer support for clients in outpatient or inpatient settings. The PSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. Recovery resources such as booklets, tapes, pamphlets and other written materials may be utilized by the Peer Support Specialist in the provision of services.

Mental Health Tech’s (MHT)


Bristlecone | Reno, Nevada

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure and coordination the consistency of client treatment alongside addiction counselors and staff.

You must be willing to:
1. Achieve and maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid
2. Conducts daily activities to ensure ongoing safety and security of clients
3. Oversee the daily schedule for clients including wake/bedtimes, group times, and mealtimes
4. Assists with community and group meetings as well as recreational activities
5. Facilitates drug testing and breathalyzer.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Mental Health Technician

The Mental Health Tech (MHT) works alongside counselors to ensure coordination and consistency of the client’s treatment. The MHT provides direct client care in order to support and facilitate the program structure and treatment schedule for Bristlecone. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of clients throughout their stay.

The Nevada 988 Coalition Coordinator will help lead statewide collaboration efforts to strengthen and align Nevada’s crisis response system. This role serves as the central convenor for cross-agency partners, ensuring that behavioral health providers, crisis call centers, state agencies, regional partners, and community organizations work together toward a unified vision for accessible, effective crisis care.

The Coordinator manages the full lifecycle of coalition operations, from meeting facilitation, strategic planning to communication, outreach, and project management – while maintaining strong relationships across the crisis continuum.

Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC/CADC/CADC-I)


New Dawn Treatment Centers| Reno, Nevada

New Dawn Treatment Centers is currently hiring for our Residential program in Reno, NV. Full-time is preferred. Job applicant must be licensed with the Nevada state board of examiner’s for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling counselors as a LADC, CADC or CADC-Intern (supervision available). Must be available to work on weekends as needed.
New Dawn Treatment Centers is an addiction treatment center that utilizes a holistic approach to recovery, incorporating both evidence-based traditional treatment methodologies and alternative therapies.  Candidate should be familiar or proficient with the use of CBT, Mindfulness, Relapse prevention, ACT, and motivational interviewing.

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of NAMI Nevada (NAMI NV). This role provides strategic leadership to ensure the organization fulfills its mission to support, educate, and advocate for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. The ED is responsible for the oversight of all organizational operations, programming, administration, finances, development, and public relations. The ED serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and is the lead representative of NAMI Nevada in the community, with partners, funders, and stakeholders.

Nevada Peer Specialist

  • Identifies opportunities for engagement of members and their families in forming a supportive, recovery network.
  • Develops and implements provision of onsite psychiatric discharge planning education at Recovery and Resiliency sites.
  • Collaborates with Stabilization Teams as a member advocate in discharge planning education, resolution of barriers, and service transitions.
  • Acts as a resource for staff on decision making and problem solving.
  • Initiates and maintains contact with assigned individuals and providers to determine member’s response to services.
