Learners will acquire a skill in how to recognize and address cultural factors that influence group dynamics, individual experiences, and therapeutic outcomes. This presentation will emphasize the significance of cultural competence in promoting inclusivity, understanding, and effective therapeutic relationships.
Self-Care Activities Tier 5 initiate a journal or group discussion focused on supporting peers in their application of self-care. The learners engage in conversations about various topics related to self-care, which serve as the basis for generating discussions within the group. The primary objective of this activity is to explore ways in which individuals can provide support and assistance to their peers in their pursuit of self-care.
Suicide Prevention Engagement Tier 5 focuses on effectively engaging individuals who display behavioral signs and other invitations to intervene. Material presented will help learners understand strategies for building rapport, establishing trust, and initiating safety planning which emphasizes the crucial element of restricting access to lethal means. Additionally, the presentation introduces the Zero Suicide framework, highlighting the “Engage” component, which underscores the importance of active and compassionate engagement with individuals at risk.
