Youth Suicide Prevention 101 (Virtual; Northern Nevada)

Youth Suicide Prevention 101 teaches people to identify youth who are showing signs of suicide risk, and help them get the help they need.

Youth Suicide Prevention 101, formerly known as ‘Gatekeeper’, is a 2 to 2.5 hour virtual training, using data specific to Northern Nevada. This Zoom training increases one’s knowledge and understanding of suicide, to recognize warning signs, to identify risk and protective factors, and to increase willingness and ability to intervene with a person at risk for suicide. It will provide insight for interacting with survivors and identify referral resources.

When registering for this class please ensure you are able to attend, and do not register for multiple classes at the same time.

Access to video is required, and your camera must be active throughout the class. If you do not have access to individual video while on Zoom, you will be asked to leave the class, and invited to take part in a future class instead.
