Best Practices and National Standards A growing network of recovery community organizations (RCOs) have proliferated across the country, creating cultures of recovery and advancing recovery-positive attitudes and programs. This webinar will provide an overview of the types of RCO’s, what they do, and the best practices that have led to their success in outreach and engagement of people in recovery in rural and urban communities across the nation. Presenters (Name, brief bio, headshot) One hour of NAADAC CEs available for each webinar Speakers: Marianna Horowitz, Senior Project Coordinator, Faces & Voices of Recovery Marianna Horowitz is a Senior Project Coordinator at Faces & Voices of Recovery, with a primary focus to work with Association of Recovery Community Organizations (ARCO) members to develop Recovery Community Organizations (RCO’s) and strengthen the national RCO network. A woman in long-term recovery, Ms. Horowitz has more than 6-years’ experience in resource development, advocacy, systems change, managing a statewide peer-to peer credential training program, and developing a statewide RCO network. Marianna is a skilled training facilitator, energetic public speaker, and an agent of social change for transforming public views and systemic practices to encourage and elevate recovery. As a social work major, currently enrolled in school, with a focus on mezzo and macro level social work, she emphasizes the importance of collaboration and systems change. Marianna is committed to eliminating barriers to recovery and creating systemic changes at the community, state, and federal levels.
