Intended Audience: Clinical Teams
This workshop will lead participants on an interactive journey into the trauma-informed resilience-oriented (TIRO) approach in sexual and reproductive health care and service delivery. Through a combination of focused lecture, reflective practice, and small group discussion, we will explore how the TIRO approach provides a blueprint to re-humanize healthcare and improve wellbeing of the entire organizational ecosystem including service providers, support staff, leadership, and the patients they serve. We will review the goals and principles of trauma-informed care and then do a deep dive into TIRO early implementation in clinical settings and health center organizational development with an emphasis on practical skills and tools. This training is relevant to adolescent and adult patients.
