safeTALK Suicide Prevention Training
This course has been made free for you by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention, through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act.
LivingWorks safeTALK is a three-hour face-to-face in-person workshop featuring powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice. In the safeTALK workshop, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.
safeTALK has been approved for Continuing Education Units by the Dept. of Education, POST, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Psychological Examiners, Social Workers, and SNHD. Nurses, CPC/MFTs, ADGCs may apply Social Workers CEUs toward their license requirements.
The Elko location for this IN-PERSON class is still to be determined. Those registered for the class will receive the location’s address via email. Thank you for your patience.
