Nevada Recovery Advocacy Day
Recovery Advocacy Day 2023 is a special event dedicated to advocating for individuals, families, and communities impacted by mental health, substance use, and addiction.
As an insider in the recovery community, you have a unique perspective on the needs in Nevada, and your presence will make a difference in shaping policy and public opinion regarding key issues within our state.
Just some of the issues impacting our community this legislative session include:
- lack of access to affordable and safe housing,
- lack of access to affordable mental health resources,
- stigmatizing legislation and justice processes, and
- harmful gaps in the continuum of care.
At Recovery Advocacy Day, you will have the opportunity to hear from lawmakers and policymakers, learn about upcoming legislation that impacts the recovery community, network with people who care, and advocate for policies that create a more recovery-friendly Nevada.
The event will take place at 9:00am PST on April 27th via zoom and will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with other recovery advocates from across the state.
Please RSVP now to confirm your attendance.
Thank you for showing up to demonstrate strength in numbers and to raise awareness of the issues the recovery community faces in Nevada. The event is free, but space is limited. Sign up now, and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
Sincerely,
Recovery Advocacy Project Nevada
