Promoting Well-Being: Identifying Sources of Stress and How to Effectively Cope

Our well-being and levels and sources of stress are important to examine, for ourselves, our families and relationships, our work, and our lives. There can be many sources of stress that we may not be aware of, which may affect us in many ways. Many current events, such as the pandemic, racial justice protests, political turmoil, war, and more, have exacerbated individual stress levels greatly, leaving many struggling to meet the demands of daily life. Understanding how stress manifests in ourselves is the first step to developing a self-care plan that targets our individual needs and lifestyles. In this session, participants will explore their personal stress symptoms, explore coping strategies, and have the opportunity to write a self-care plan.
