Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention Community Virtual Scholar’s Breakfast
Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention (NRAP) provides a supportive environment for students engaging in a lifestyle of recovery, those in hope of recovery, and students choosing a substance-free lifestyle while participating in the college experience. NRAP focuses on wellness as its guiding principle and provides academic, social, psychological, and recovery support to members, while also promoting substance-free activities and awareness for the campus community at large.
We would like to invite you to join NRAP staff, community advocates, and students in celebrating another year of successful programming, listen to ideas for future events, and more importantly, honor our Northern Nevada Recovery Champions.
Since this year will be a virtual event rather than in person, we are adding some new and interesting programming. We will have exciting auction items to bid on before and during the event, a door prize for those who attend, and a link to offer a donation. So, bring your own coffee and join us for NRAP’s 2021 Scholars Breakfast!

Bids will be accepted online starting Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 and close at 5pm on Friday, March 12, 2021. Please note, we will have more details on each auction item and an opportunity to meet Klaus and Tom during the event. We will also announce bids live as they come in! Make sure you register below, whether you plan to attend the event, participate in the auction, or both!
Private Dinner Party with Chef Klaus Feyersinger
Klaus Feyersinger, Executive Chef at Harrah’s & Harveys Lake Tahoe, has over 35 years of hospitality and culinary knowledge and expertise providing world class service in the food and beverage industry. Chef Klaus currently oversees multiple fine dining restaurants located within Harrah’s, including three restaurants, two convention centers, and Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Mexican Cantina just to name a few. This dinner experience of a lifetime will include Chef Klaus coming to the comfort of your home and preparing dinner for you and nine of your friends/family (10 people in total). Please note, dinner will have to be scheduled within 6 months of winning the auction.
Lake to Lake Sightseeing by Plane, Includes Lunch
Tom Hall, a UNR Alumni and NRAP Network Member, invites you and two guests to join him for a private sightseeing air tour from Pyramid Lake to Lake Tahoe, with a stop-over at Minden Airport for lunch. Tom served seven and one-half years in the Nevada Air National Guard, as a sergeant, served as either a current or past president/chairman of many local organizations, including the Reno-Stead Airport Association, and pilots his own plane, a 1981 Beechcraft Bonanza A36TC. The winning bid will need to schedule the flight within 6 months of winning and will be dependent upon weather
