About this Event
International Overdose Awareness Day is more than a single day to remember the countless friends, neighbors, and family members we’ve lost to overdoses. It is a day where we pause to hold space for all communities that have been impacted by the loss of these amazing people. It is a day where we reflect on our collective behavior and attitudes towards those who struggle and who use substances. It is a day to learn new skills to prevent the loss of others. It is a day where we honor and celebrate the networks of people who have lost someone they deeply love and care about, and remember that there is hope. And it is a day for action, in the pursuit of collectively treating others with compassion and making the necessary changes to prevent the loss of future lives.
Join your community in this international day of remembrance, celebration, and action. Organized by the Southern Nevada Harm Reduction Alliance, this annual event will take place virtually and streamed live online. Please help share this event with others.
