Integrating Peers in Crisis Response Services
Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, 1:30 p.m. ET
Throughout the country, states and communities are implementing crisis response models ahead of the realization of the nationwide, 3-digit 988 hotline for suicidal and mental health crises by July 2022. 988 implementation calls for not only 24/7 crisis call centers, but also mobile crisis teams and crisis stabilization programs.
This webinar will showcase how peers are currently working as part of the crisis response system, including on the NAMI HelpLine and in a peer-run respite center. It will then explore how to center racial equity and lived experience in building a crisis response system.
