Inaugural VISN 21 Mental Health Summit

“Foundations for Recovery: A Path Forward”

Topics will include:

  • Supportive Risk Taking
  • Peer Support Specialists Panel
  • Connecting with Others to Prevent Suicide
  • Allies in Resiliency

The purpose of the Mental Health Summit is to bring together key stakeholders within our communities with the goal of enhancing access to mental health services and addressing the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their family members.

The goal for the Summit is to provide an opportunity to learn best practices related to psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.

The objectives/topics of this year’s discussion at the MH Summit will focus on supportive risk taking, suicide prevention, recovery from the perspective of Peer Support Specialists, and a presentation from NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness and their community collaborations and resources.

This is a free event. All community members (including Veterans, providers, and families) are welcome to participate.

The Mental Health Summit will be held virtually through Zoom. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the virtual event via chat.
