Filling Addiction Treatment Gaps with App-based Virtual Supports
Join the National Council for Mental Wellbeing on Wednesday, May 4th at 1pm as they explore the rapidly expanding frontier of digital health for addiction. From virtual peer support services to tech-enabled referral management, to remote substance testing, the integrations and capabilities of app-based recovery support are evolving at light speed. Take a closer look at the innerworkings of these app-based programs, diving into not only the potential limitations, but also the present benefits and future possibilities of recovery supports reimagined.
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing Substance Use Interest Group is excited to welcome Caitlyn Larson, RN, MBA, Vice President of Clinical Performance at CHESS Health, and former Vice President of Clinical Operations and Growth at DynamiCare Health, two app-based providers of peer support and supplemental addiction services. With over 100,000 overdose deaths in a single 12-month period, using new virtual technologies to fill the gaps in our ability to provide continuing care is more important now than ever.
