About The Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council (BHPAC)
The Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council (BHPAC) serves as an advocate for chronically mentally Ill Individuals, severely emotionally disturbed children and youth, and other individuals with mental Illnesses or emotional problems, and persons with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The Council shall advise the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services or Its successor Division on development of the state’s behavioral health plan. The Council shall monitor, review and evaluate, no less than once each year the allocation and adequacy of behavioral health services within the state.
