Addressing Sexual Abuse in Later Life and Opportunities for Collaboration
Sexual assault in later life is widely misunderstood and underreported. It may be perpetrated by family members, trusted others, or strangers. Detection and response may be hindered by ageism, myths about dynamics, and lack of resources. This webinar will examine the intersection of sexual abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse. Using video studies, this interactive session will discuss perpetrator dynamics and motivations, and suggest professional responses building on victim strengths and resilience. .
