2023 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit

Effective Inclusion: Understanding & Supporting Experiences of Belonging

April 14, 2023, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. | Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) organizes two annual diversity summits, one in Northern Nevada and one in Southern Nevada, which are day-long events including tracks and sessions related to inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA), and the connections to student success initiatives, workforce and economic development, community engagement, and pipelines to higher education.

These events are free of charge and all faculty, staff and students of NSHE institutions, and community partners are invited to attend.

The 2023 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit: Effective Inclusion: Understanding & Supporting Experiences of Belonging, will be held on April 14, 2023, in the Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno, with some hybrid engagement options available.

Keynote: Brandon Wolf, Pulse Nightclub survivor, Activist, Co-founder of the Dru Project and Author of A Place for Us

The summit offers attendees the opportunity to learn about new ideas and emerging and practices as well as network with campus and community leaders. This year’s theme was voted by the Cultural Diversity Committee with input from numerous affinity groups, in consideration of current social contexts, difficulties, and goals.
