15th Annual Walk in Memory Walk for Hope

The 15th Annual “Walk in Memory – Walk for Hope” community suicide prevention awareness walk will be taking place on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in ten different communities across the State of Nevada.    Walk participants are asked to donate $20 per individual.  To participate on a team, go to the drop down box and select a team already there or enter the name of a team in the “new team” area.  Each person walking will need to complete a registration form.  All donations will be used to help fund various NCSP programs in communities throughout the state.If you would like to participate in a specific walk, you can print out the registration PDF form, complete it and either mail it in to the address on the form or bring it with you to the walk in your community.  Each walk site may vary in the actual distance but they are all ranging from 3-5K.

Here are the locations and times for all Nevada walks:

Carson City: Bob McFadden Plaza at 223 West 3rd St. Carson City, NV Registration begins at 9:00 am – Register Now!

Las Vegas/Henderson (Southern Nevada): Bob Miller Middle School, 2400 Cozy Circle, Henderson, NV 89052. Registration begins at 7:30 am – Register Now!

Pahrump (Nye County): Petrack Park 150 NV-160 Pahrump, NV Registration begins at 7:30. – Register Now!

Winnemucca: Winnemucca Community Garden, 151 W. McArthur Ave. Winnemucca, NV 89445. Registration begins at 8:00 am. – Register Now!

Because there is help, there is hope. We want to make sure individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide and the friends and families doing their best to support them can be connected to resources and services that can make a difference.  The concerted efforts of the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention, the Office of Suicide Prevention and the many local task forces and coalitions across the state hosting events such as the “Walk in Memory, Walk for Hope” will help make Nevada a healthier and safer place to live.
